Volunteering On Campus:

Examples: Volunteering in the classroom, or chaperoning field trips.

Steps to volunteer:

To volunteer at Broadview Thomson during school hours, you will need to be a SPS approved. There is a new process. To learn about the new process, please click HERE.

Volunteering Off Campus:

For off-campus PTA events, such as picking up food bags from the Ballard Food Bank or organizing a Self-Help Project, you do NOT need to be an approved volunteer.

Self-Help Projects:

  • A Self Help Project is any project to improve our school buildings or grounds and can be initiated by anyone! Read more about them HERE. Have an idea? Email Mckenzie.powell@broadviewthomsonpta.com with questions or to find out how we can support your plan.

How do I recruit volunteers?

Do you need volunteers for your school activity or event? We are here to help get the word out and manage volunteers, and we’d love to include your event in our list above.

  • If you prefer to create your own signup for your event, please email Lindsae Kroeger with the link so she can get the word out that you need volunteers.
  • If you’d like a signup to be created for you, please email Lindsae Kroeger with all the information.

How do I promote my event?

We list events in the weekly newsletter and share on Facebook. If you’d like your event included in the newsletter, please email Andrea Drachler with the event details and a short write-up to include. If you would like it to be shared on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram), please reach out to Lindsae Kroeger.
